A Journey With Chronic Disease

elysevictoria15

A glimpse of what living with a chronic disease(U.C) is like:

If you have been diagnosed with a chronic disease, you know when you feel good one day or for a short period of time, it doesn’t likely last. For the past four years, that has been my story. Through trial and error, hospital visits, advice from all types of people, and doing my own research, I can tell you… I still haven’t figured it out. Our bodies are incredibly intricate and different than anyone else’s. That’s why one thing may work perfectly for one person but not another. Yet, that doesn’t mean that I am not healthy or succeeding but my desire is to research and figure out a solution to why I am inconsistent in the way I feel. So I’ve decided to begin a journal to help navigate some theories and hopefully help those who are also trying to navigate their own health issues. As a trained herbalist, health coach, and nutritionist, I think this could help anyone who suffers from chronic diseases.

First off, I want to begin with things I’ve known to work to be healing to the body and some tips to help others who are thinking along these same lines. On a daily basis, living with ulcerative colitis without any medication that seems to help no matter what, is the following:

1.) Eat everything unprocessed.

2.) Since U.C. is an inflammatory disease(like many chronic diseases), take turmeric(many chronic diseases are inflammatory so taking an anti inflammatory is vital; however, turmeric isn’t the only anti inflammatory in the world and for some, turmeric may not be the answer according to energetics. Find the right anti inflammatory that will fit your energetics).

3.) What is the source? Think about past problems you’ve dealt with. Many times it’s a trigger, parasites, vaccines, the food you eat, bacterial infections, or so much more. Deeply think about how you lived, live, and how your body feels now.

Follow along as I discover how my body thrives!
