I was never a health guru. I ate terribly and knew I had allergies but ignored them and my health. When I turned sixteen, I had to receive vaccinations – my first ever for a mission trip. When I was on the mission trip, I became very sick – throwing up and the whole shebang. A year later, I returned home and was diagnosed with severe ulcerative colitis. I was extremely sick, anemic, couldn’t eat, and lost about 20 lbs in a few short weeks. After medication and hopeless doctor visits and with the help of friends and family, I completely changed my lifestyle. After doing no sugar, no gluten, fruits and veggies, meat, and many supplements along with PEMF therapy, I had another colonoscopy and the doctor said, “It was like seeing a brand new baby’s colon!” This diet sounds no fun; however living a life where you have no energy, you are anemic, and are unable to predict how your body will react, is not my kind of fun. It is difficult and frustrating to try and find your body’s sweet spot because that “sweet spot” is different for everyone but when you do it is amazing what your body was designed to do!
